PAT Testing
Portable appliance testing known as "PAT", "PAT Inspection" or "PAT Testing" is a process in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland for checking the safety of electrical appliances.
Health and safety regulations require that electrical appliances are safe to prevent harm to employees. Several types of equipment require testing at regular intervals to ensure safety.
When electrical items have been passed as safe to use they will display a relevant label easily identifiable to all employees who will use them. In the event that a piece of equipment is not safe to use it will display a ‘do not use after date label’
